The author of “Edge of the Future” wanted to make a film with “Roscosmos”, but the plans were “thwarted”

Chapter Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that the director “Edge of the Future” Doug Lyman wanted to make a film with a Russian corporation, but nothing came of it.

This is a picture that the director plans to shoot with Tom Cruise in space. According to Rogozin, cooperation was expected between the two sides, but the agreements were hampered by some “political forces” in the States.

Rogozin noted that the film crew was shown the assembly workshops of the Energia corporation back in January last year, and the creators of the tape were so impressed with what they saw that they wanted to go into space on the Russian Soyuz.

But in March, filmmakers were allegedly banned from working on a joint project and forced to seek services from an American space firm.

Rogozin added that this attitude, among other things, was the reason why the company helps with the creation of a Russian painting by Klim Shipenko. “Call”, which will also be filmed in space. According to Rogozin, the tape will have a “powerful propaganda sense.”
