Developers The Elder Scrolls Online announced that the MMORPG will have a new currency for purchasing items from loot boxes. Coming with the release of Update 30 in mid-June, the innovation will allow players to purchase items without having to spend real money on loot boxes.
A system of achievements with daily and weekly tasks will allow players to earn gold, experience and a new currency – the seal of achievements. Seals of Achievement can be used to purchase everything in the currently available loot boxes. However, players will be able to save new currency until the items they like appear in the store.
The change is assumed to be policy related Xbox Game Studios regarding loot boxes. It states that items from loot boxes can always be obtained for free through gameplay. As a reminder, Xbox Game Studios owns Microsoftwho recently bought Bethesda, publisher of The Elder Scrolls Online, for $ 7.5 billion.
