China corporation Tencent received a patent for a PC video game console. The application for it was submitted in October and approved only now.

The concept of Windows-based handheld game consoles is not new. The Chinese have been releasing GPD Win and similar devices for a long time, like the recent AYA NEO, but in this case, Tencent first showed interest in its own gaming handheld console. Tencent is currently responsible for distributing Switch in China.
At the same time, it should be noted that the presence of a patent does not mean that the product will ever see the light of day, and if it does, it will not make Tencent another player in the console market, since technically we are talking about a device running Windows, which is open operating system.
