Take-Two’s new Dead Space studio to be called 31st Union – review

In November Take-two registered a trademark 31st Unionhowever, many then suggested that this was the potential name for one of the publisher’s upcoming games.
It turns out, this is the name of Michael Condry’s studio, which he opened with 2K Games exactly one year ago, in February 2019. Then it was reported that the team will be given complete creative freedom, and the game will appear only on the next generation consoles.
At the same time, the company is officially called 2K Silicon Valley: that’s what it was called on the recent quarterly report, as the company’s twitter is called so far.

On the poster on the social network, the cropped logo of “31st Union” is flaunted.

2K Silicon Valley, like Hanger 13 (Mafia III) are due to present their games in the next few months. It is noted that the latter is not working on a continuation Mafia, but over the new intellectual property.

According to Kotaku’s Jason Schreyer, 2K Games managers used to believe that publishers’ studios should wear the 2K brand, but now they go the opposite, giving their companies individual names that reflect their activities.
