Swan song THQ: A rare gameplay entry from the canceled game The Avengers published

On the YouTube channel Ptopoline there was a record of almost 10 minutes of gameplay from the canceled game based on the movie universe Marvel. It’s about a project The avengers which was developed by the now deceased publishing house Thq.

This is a cooperative game with a first-person view, which was supposed to go on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC. According to the plot, the Avengers had to stop the Skrull invasion.

As for the gameplay, the players had to conduct joint combos (Thor hits the enemies with lightning, after which Captain America finishes them with his shield). Skrulls could copy the abilities of the Avengers themselves and other Earth superheroes.

The Avengers was canceled due to financial problems of the publisher, which eventually went bankrupt. The developers hoped that they would be supported by Marvel, but this did not happen.

Franchise Rights Transferred to Publisher Ubisoft, which in a short time developed and released a project Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earththat has been honed by the Xbox Kinect and Wii U touchpad.

In published Ptopoline video you can see an early version of The Avengers for the Xbox 360 and gameplay for Iron ManTorah, Hulk and Captain America.
