Tracking sales of physical copies GfK reports that Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury became the best-selling game in Europe in the first half of 2023. Switch Exclusive proved to be the most successful game in 7 out of 19 surveyed countries, and also climbed to the podium in 6 more regions.
The second line was taken by FIFA 21, which topped the charts in 11 countries, including Russia. The other best-selling games in Europe in the first half of 2023 were Mario kart 8 deluxe (top 3 in 9 countries), Minecraft (top 3 in 6 countries) and Gta v (top 3 in 5 countries).
GfK monitors sales of physical copies of PC games and consoles in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Great Britain.
