To the game exhibition PAX East 2023, which managed to take place before the spread of the coronavirus epidemic, studio Firefly brought a demo of her future historical strategy Stronghold warlords. And now published a record of her passage.
A half-hour video shows the mission from the campaign for China, in which the first emperor of a centralized Chinese state, Qin Shihuangdi, appears. However, the focus is on the basic mechanics of the game: the construction and defense of the fortress.
The plot of the mission is a confrontation between the emperor’s army and an imaginary eunuch named Lao Ai, who intended to make a coup and seize the Qingyang Palace. The main goal is to destroy the rebel-owned fortress.
Stronghold Warlords will be released on PC this year. Players are waiting for campaigns devoted to the history of the eastern countries: Vietnam, China, Mongolia and Japan.
