Stadia can be launched in the new browser for Xbox consoles – review addiction

Company Microsoft began testing the Chromium-based Edge browser for Xbox consoles. While testing is available for members of the Alpha Skip-Ahead group.

The new Edge will improve compatibility with browser games and services like Skype or Discord when used through a browser, and will also allow access to Google Stadia.

In addition, the new Edge will be able to launch Microsoft’s own cloud gaming service Project xCloud when the company launches the browser app.

Recall that initially Edge ran on Microsoft’s own engine, but later the company made a choice in favor of Chromium. On Windows, the Chromium-based Edge browser was released last January.
