Publishing house Square enix continues to try to squeeze some more dollars out of a long-suffering game Final Fantasy XV. On January 7, it was announced that the company plans to release a mobile MMORPG, which is based on the adventures of Prince Noctis and his gang of friends in black.
Responsible for the development of the South Korean studio Joyful space of creation and chinese GAEA. The company will publish the project in China Shanghai Oriental Pearl Group. As stated in the press release, MMO will be developed on Unreal engine 4.
The main story will be revised and expanded due to online functionality and new locations. So, the Great Pagoda and the flying continents are mentioned. The debut trailer of the game will be shown in the first half of 2023.
Square Enix previously released Final Fantasy XV online mode Comrades. In addition, the original game received a creepy dimake with chibiki for mobile devices.
The publisher’s interest in mobile MMOs is not surprising, because the market has undergone significant transformations. So sequels Blade and soul and Aion were announced exclusively for tablets and smartphones.
