Spider-Man screenwriter Sam Raimi talks about unrealized plans

David Kepp, screenwriter of the original Spider-Man Sam Raimi, spoke about unrealized plans for sequels.

Initially, he had an idea for a trilogy, but other people were already involved in the script for the second and third parts.

Kepp’s ideas differ from the final result – he was going to tell stories Harry Osbourne and Gwen Stacybut in a slightly different format. So, Gwen would die already in the middle of the second film, since Kepp wanted to structurally repeat the model of the film “The Empire Strikes Back”when in the second picture the villains would come to the fore more.

At the same time, the author was going to use not those opponents who ended up in the tape. But as a result, Gwen appeared only in the third film of Raimi – her role played Bryce Dallas Howard (“Jurassic World”)

Kepp also added that he was going to return to his sequel story. The New Spider-Man, but by that time had already lost inspiration to this topic, abandoning the post.
