Evercade portable retro console for NES cartridges will be released on May 22 – review

Last year, it became known about the preparations for the release of a portable retroconsole Evercade. Its feature is the support of cartridges instead of internal memory. Initially, it was supposed to be released in 2019, but because of the coronavirus, the release was postponed. Now, as reported, the new product will enter the market on May 22 this year in Europe.

Pre-order Amazon it will be possible to issue already from April 5, but it is not yet known whether official deliveries to Russia will be.

The console received the following specifications:

  • 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels
  • Controls: D-Pad, Select, Start and Menu, X, Y, A and B buttons, as well as triggers
  • Stereo speakers
  • Mini-HDMI ports (for connecting to a TV) and USB (for charging)
  • Battery for 4-5 hours of play

Prices look like this:

  • 74 dollars (a little over 5,800 rubles at the tax-free rate) – a console and Starter Pack cartridge with 11 games, including Pac Man, Galaxian and Dig Dig
  • 99 dollars (7800 rubles) – a console and three cartridges with 37 games
  • 186 dollars (14,700 rubles) – a console and nine cartridges with 115 games

Additional cartridges will be available in the third quarter of this year, with one of them including Atari games.
