Sony quietly introduced a “lightweight” version in Japan Xperia 10 III… One of the distinctive features of the smartphone is work with only one nanoSIM card – it is proposed to use eSIM technology as an additional one.

In addition, the amount of internal storage has been cut in half – from 128 GB to 64 GB, and support for FM radio has been removed. Otherwise, it is still the same mid-range model with dimensions of 154 × 68 × 8.3 mm and a weight of 169 g.

The device has a 6-inch OLED display with FHD + resolution and HDR support, one 8MP for selfies, a triple rear camera with 12 (main), 8 (telephoto) and 8 (ultra-wide angle) megapixels and IP68 dust and moisture protection.

The hardware is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor with an eight-core Kryo 560, an Adreno 619L graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X51 5G cellular modem. A 4500 mAh battery with support for 30 W fast charging is responsible for autonomy. The amount of RAM is 6 GB.

The novelty is based on Android 11 and supports Wi-Fi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac and Bluetooth 5.1. The price of Sony Xperia 10 III Lite in the Japanese market is about $ 425 (about 32 thousand rubles), which is about 10% less than the original. The release is scheduled for August 27th.
