Sony showed the operation of the system for tracking fingers in virtual reality

Sony developers have published a video that shows some of the developments for the future PSVR 2 headset. More precisely, we are talking about a finger tracking system for the VR motion controller. The latter will be paired with a headset.
For this, machine learning methods will be used, they will evaluate the position of the hands and fingers
The video shows a prototype controller similar to a control system Valve index. He will track the compression, movements of individual fingers, and so on, which will diversify the reactions in a particular game, “hanging” a specific action on each gesture.
And while the Japanese corporation does not comment on the video in any way, and does not name the release dates for the finished solution, the technology itself is impressive. Note that PS5 will support the original PSVR headset, but it is possible that a full-fledged second model will appear in the future.
