Sony lost two veterans: the creators of Siphon Filter and Days Gone left the company

On the eve it became known about leaving Sony Bend Studio two industry veterans. Creative director left the American team John Garvin and game director Jeff Ross, who took part in the development of an action-adventure movie Days gone… They simultaneously wrote about this on Twitter.

Ross confirmed that this week will be his last in Bend Studio… He looks forward to future challenges and will talk about his plans later.

In turn, Garvin revealed that he has not worked in the team for about a year. He plans to take a break from the gaming industry and focus on various personal projects. He has been working in a studio from Bend since 1997. His portfolio contains many projects at once, including games of the series Siphon filter, Days gone, Uncharted golden abyss and Resistance: Retribution… He singled out the last two as his favorites.

It is reported that after success Days gone Sony Bend Studio is developing a new unannounced AAA open world project.

Days gone was released exclusively for PS4 in 2019. The game is currently available for PS5 as part of the PS Plus collection. On Sony’s next-gen consoles, the backward compatibility delivers honest 60FPS and 4K resolution for gamers.
