Sony has made an important update on the PlayStation 5 backward compatibility system

Company Sony Interactive Entertainment released on the official PlayStation blog important update with new information on the next generation console backward compatibility feature Playstation 5.

The creators have expressed confidence that the vast majority of 4000+ games for PS4 will be compatible with PS5. In addition, Sony expects projects that are available for backward compatibility to be able to work with higher resolution or frame rate per second (FPS). Currently engineers “project by project” analyze the back catalog of the PS4 to identify any problems requiring adjustment by the developers of the original software.

According to Sony, hundreds of PS4 games have been tested, and thousands of projects are in the pipeline.

The company explained that words about the hundred most popular PS4 games were voiced by leading platform architect Mark Zerny at a recent presentation as an example of what a company with “return” everything is fine and things are going as they should.

Now Sony wants to assure that not only 100 hits, but the “vast majority” of the PlayStation 4 game catalog will be available through backward compatibility. Moreover, they should get some improvements.

In addition to all of the above, Sony intends to provide even more news regarding the PS5 in the coming months and asks for updates..

The compatibility of the PlayStation 5 with games of earlier generations of the PlayStation does not say anything.
