Sony and Disney made a deal with each other that will see the first films eventually be released on the second streaming services.
The agreement covers the period from 2023 to 2026, and under it, Sony films will appear on Disney +, Hulu, FX and other similar sites. However, this will not happen immediately.
Earlier, Sony struck another deal with Netflix, according to which the streaming service will be able to show Sony films in the United States after their release at the cinema. In other words, after the Netflix term ends, the movie will go to Disney + and so on.
