Official account Ask PlayStation on social networking site Twitter advised affected users to start their PlayStation 5s in Safe Mode and choose to restore the database. After rebooting the system, the problem with the download queue should disappear.

Earlier this week Sony released a new version of the PlayStation 5 firmware with improvements in overall system performance, however the update did not fix the above bug as expected.
