Lego approved the release of a set based on Sonic mania – elements of the zone will enter there “Green Hills”, the hero himself, and Dr. Eggman with his robot and henchmen.
The project was proposed as part of the LEGO Ideas program, where fans vote for the options they like – after they gain more than 10 thousand votes, the company decides the further fate of the projects.
The set is being created in collaboration with SEGA – the price has not yet been announced, and the design may still change slightly. The original set included 700 elements, and some of the designs could be folded in an alternative way – for example, turning them into an airplane.
