Last year, at Paramount, not all projects were able to show strong financial endurance. In particular, indicators “Terminator: Dark Fates” and Gemini came out disappointing. Moreover, they collected these tapes at the start in the USA less than “Sonic” – the first, in particular, had 62.3 million dollars.
The best home result in 2019 was shown by the Rocketman, grabbing $ 96.4 million. However, analysts believe that Sonic will outperform these numbers as well – they predict about $ 200 million in US fees.
At the moment, international tape fees amount to 113 million dollars – it has already recovered the production budget of 87 million dollars. In this case, our tape formally comes out only February 20th, although from the 13th the early shows started.
