Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 Pushed For PlayStation 5 Due To Unforeseen Technical Issues

Polish studio CI Games announced the postponement of the release date Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 on the Playstation 5

On the rest of the platforms, the shooter will be released as planned. 4th June, but the PS5 version will delay until the end of 2023. The reason was some unforeseen technical problems that surfaced several weeks before the launch.

The developers did not elaborate on the details, but they assured the players that they are actively working with Sony and the creators of the engine from Crytek to resolve the issue as soon as possible. The authors apologized for the delay and, as compensation, will distribute to players on all platforms the first major DLC, which will include a new large map with new contracts… In addition, PS4 game owners will receive the PS5 update for free.

The native port of the PlayStation 5 shooter will get 4K support, better textures and visuals, and faster loading times.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is also announced for Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam).
