“In 2023, we lost a lot that we simply did not value before. Because of this, I looked a little differently at things dear to my heart. Now I want to approach creating games with fresh ideas. Next year, Fatal Frame celebrates its 20th birthday , and I would like to somehow celebrate these events, “- said Kikuchi.
Last year, the developer expressed a desire to release a new part of Fatal Frame on the Nintendo Switch, but at the same time noted that much is here depends on Nintendo itself, which has been the publisher of the series since 2008. The developers also cannot independently release the remasters of Fatal Frame 4, Fatal Frame 5 and the Fatal Frame 2 remake, since the rights to them belong to Nintendo.
A Hollywood motion picture based on Fatal Frame is currently in production.
