The series continues the events of the original work, unfolding already in 2019. In this version of the plot, the daughter Sally Jupiter stopped doing superhero activities in the image Silk Ghost and instead began to hunt for masked heroes herself. Weaver had to embody her image.
However, the actress refused the party, which is why she was offered by Smart herself – and this happened literally two days before the start of filming. The actress even jokingly thanked Weaver for the refusal, since the role was interesting.
Smart says she didn’t know about the original before filming began. Alana Moorebased on which Damon Lindelof created my project. The actress really liked the script, and the fantasy genre itself was new to her, and she also appreciated the scriptwriter’s intention to tell about the tragic events in Tulsa in 1921, when many neighborhoods of the city with a black population were destroyed.
She added that Damon probably realized all his ideas in the first season of the project, so he did not create the second – although Smart herself asked him to do so.
