Showtime Channel Closes Series Ray Donovan starring Liv Schreiber after season 7.
The plot of the project was not completed, so the fans were left with the final cliffhanger, which there is no one else to resolve. Prior to this, Schreiber hinted that the fate of season 8 was in the hands of the channel and, obviously, they decided not in favor of the series.
Ray Donovan was one of Showtime’s longest running projects, along with Dexter, “Datura”, The Lascivious California etc. A total of 82 episodes of the series were released. The plot of the crime drama told about the fate of a specialist in solving the illegal problems of stars in Los Angeles and New York.
This year Showtime closes two more of its other old series – “Homeland” in season eight and Shameless on the eleventh.
By the way, in development on the channel Starz there is a continuation of “Datura”, and on Showtime itself the spin-offs of the reborn “Scary Tales”.
