Sega launched a new website dedicated to the anniversary of the company: on June 3 she will be 60 years old. At the same time, the Japanese publishing house is already in full teaser some new announcement, which will be held on March 25.
According to the image, the announcement is somehow related to the character known as Segata Sanshiro (Segata sanshiro) In Japan, he was an advertising mascot promoting a console SEGA Saturn and games for her. The videos with his participation became a meme.
Some fans believe that the company is preparing a game announcement, however, this may be an incorrect theory. The fact is that the page itself is entitled as “SEGA 60th Anniversary Ambassador”. A photo was also posted on social networks showing a form for judo, and the silhouette of a young version of Segata Sanshiro is shown on the site itself.
We can assume that we are waiting for a commercial in which Segata Sanshiro resurrects (at one time the character was “killed” in one of the videos, sending him flying into space on a rocket). However, there is an alternative theory: the release of a mini version of the console Saturn.
The third option is associated with coronavirus. Usually, SEGA holds an annual SEGA Fes event for fans in March-April, but this year it is impossible to organize it. Therefore, the publisher may be limited to online broadcasting.
