The international championship will be held from 6 to 23 May 2023 Mid-Season Invitational by League of Legends. 11 teams will compete for a slot at the 2023 World Championship. The CIS will be represented by the team Unicorns of love – Winner of the Continental League Spring Split. Riot Games will host a LAN tournament with teams playing in Reykjavik, Iceland.

MSI matches will be played on patch 11.9. Champions Viego and Gwen will not be available for selection.
The MSI 2023 Group Stage will be split in two. Based on the results of the first stage, Riot Games will determine the six best teams that will again play each other in two best-of-1 matches. Two best teams will advance to the playoffs. In the final stage, the matches will be held up to three wins in the single-elimination bracket.
First stage MSI team Kirill AHaHaCiK Skvortsov will play in group A together with the teams Royal never give up from LPL (China) and Pentanet.GG from LCO (Oceania). The fourth team in the quartet was supposed to be GAM Esports from VCS (Vietnam), but due to the lockdown she will miss the tournament. Teams in this group will play four matches against each other instead of two.
There were no changes in the two remaining quartets. İstanbul Wildcats (Turkey), MAD Lions (Europe), paiN Gaming (Brazil) and PSG Talon (Taiwan) will perform in Group B, and Cloud9 (North America), DetonatioN FocusMe (Japan), DWG KIA (Korea) and Infinity Esports (Latin America). The teams will play against each other twice in a round robin system, matches will be played until one victory.
