Kakarot – the best-selling game in the USA in January – review

Performance declined in all major market segments, but sales of iron and games were hit hardest. Analysts attribute this to the approach of a new generation of consoles and the lack of major releases.

The Nintendo Switch again became the best-selling console of the month, and the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 remained the best-selling accessory for the third month in a row.

• Iron – a drop of 35% to 129 million dollars;
• Games – a drop of 31% to $ 311 million;
• Accessories – a drop of 11% to $ 238 million.

Last month, the best-selling game in the United States Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotwhich, in sales in its debut month, was unable to get around only the other two franchise games – Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, in turn, took second place, but remained the best-selling game in the last 12 months. In addition, the first five of the chart for the first time since August 2019 returned Grand theft auto v – The best-selling game in the United States in history.
