At the end of July Scarlett Johansson, the performer of the role of the Black Widow, filed a lawsuit against Disney due to the premiere of a solo movie about a heroine at the same time in the movie and on Disney +.
Soon the company responded to Aktis, calling her claim unfounded and adding that Johansson had already received a considerable payment – over $ 20 million.
“The lawsuit is particularly sad and distressing in its soulless disregard for the dire and lasting global impact of the pandemic.”
The actress’s agent Brian Lourdes is unhappy that the corporation “shamelessly and falsely” accuses the girl of indifference to the global pandemic. And the disclosure of Johansson’s earnings in the Disney statement seemed to suggest that the company wants its success to be perceived as shameful.
As the producer adds, the lawsuit was filed as a result of the fact that Disney knowingly violated Johansson’s contract – they say that the corporation deliberately shifted focus and profit towards Disney +, excluding its financial and creative partners from the new equation.
