Samsung requires Microsoft to add support for Ultrawide monitors on the Xbox Series X

Company representatives Samsung press on Microsoft, demanding to add support for ultrawide (Ultrawide) monitors on the next generation console Xbox Series X. Information on this was confirmed by a representative of the South Korean giant.

Given the high competition in the market, Samsung seeks to expand the market for fairly specific gaming monitors. Now ultra-wide displays are used only by PC users, while the consoles support the 16 to 9 format.

“We are pushing, we are negotiating,” Samsung said.

It also turned out that in the past, both companies were negotiating on this issue, but the developments did not get into the public space. Microsoft itself previously stated that they are focused on gaming in 4K and 120 fps on the Xbox Series X.
