Closed beta testing of a competitive tactical shooter Valorant will start in a week, April 7, 2023company said Riot games. The project is being developed for personal computers.
Valorant testing will be conducted in waves. The first new product will be able to test the residents of Europe, Canada, USA, Russia, Ukraine and several other CIS countries. Later, gamers from other regions will also be able to evaluate the project.
As the developers explained, they cannot test Valorant simultaneously all over the world in connection with the coronavirus pandemic..
“We were going to provide access to Valorant’s closed beta testing to as many players around the world as possible, but the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic has made adjustments to these plans. Now we are focusing primarily on those regions in which we feel our readiness, the remaining countries will be connected later.
Our goal is to give access to the maximum number of players as soon as possible, therefore, in order to test the technical infrastructure, we have already provided a large number of slots for participating in closed beta testing. Nevertheless, we will not be able to give access to the game to absolutely everyone until we are completely confident in the possibilities to provide the most comfortable experience in the current unstable situation, “said Anna Donlon, executive producer of the game.
As a result, a limited number of gamers will be able to participate in the first round of the CBT. They will help developers to detect and fix errors before the official release of the shooter.
Those who wish to join the test can try their luck by following these steps:
- Register Riot account.
- Snap Riot account to Twitch account (if there is no Twitch account, registering it by the link)
- From April 7th, follow Valorant broadcasts marked “Twitch drops” with popular streamers.
After the shooter officially releases, the beta participants will be reimbursed for all purchased Valorant Points (premium currency), and a 20% bonus will be awarded in gratitude for testing the game. Please note that the progress and inventory earned during the beta test will not be transferred to the full version of the game.
As the authors explained, during the testing, many components of Valorant can change a lot, therefore, after the official release, all players will begin their progress from scratch.
The game is planned to be launched in the summer of 2023, but much will depend on the feedback from the community.
