The firm was unable to come to an agreement with three representatives of the local market – “Formula Kino / Cinema Park”, “Kinomaxom” and Karo. Most often, after two weeks, the distributor’s revenue decreases from 50% to 40-45%, but Universal planned to take half of the fees on the third weekend.
The networks opposed this decision, removing from the rental Godzilla vs. Kong and “Mortal Kombat” after two weeks. If the parties do not come to an agreement, then such a fate can be expected and “Fast and Furious 9” with other Universal releases and Warner Bros.
The latter are also taken into account, since since March of this year, Universal has begun to distribute them on the Russian film market.
