So far, the social network moderation service has removed some of the prohibited materials (1.9 thousand out of 3.1 thousand) and increased the speed of removal (about 580 of 650 new links were removed). The average removal time is 81 hours, although according to Russian legislation 24 hours are allowed for removal.
Earlier, Roskomnadzor noted that they could block Twitter if the administration continues to ignore the department’s demands. Due to the removal of a significant part of the prohibited content and an increase in the speed of the moderation service, they decided not to resort to complete blocking.
“Roskomnadzor will continue to interact with the Twitter administration for the complete and prompt removal of all prohibited information by the social network. Compliance with Russian legislation in full will make it possible to remove measures to slow down traffic and exclude blocking of the service in Russia. “
