Rogue Legacy 2 will go to early access Steam and Epic Games Store exactly one month later, on July 23.
The developers told about this in a fresh trailer, where they showed a lot of fresh gameplay moments, and also talked about innovations – the main, it seems, will be the opportunity to build a full-fledged fortress.
The sequel will retain the peculiarity of the original “bagel”, when after the death of the protagonist the player takes control of the character’s heir with some feature like color blindness, dizziness, and the like.
Another important innovation was the visual style – the game got rid of retro pixelation in favor of a more animated style with three-dimensional characters.
