Rocket League becomes more accessible: Psyonix has dated the release of the free version of the game

Studio Psyonix dated a previously announced transition Rocket league for a shareware distribution model. It will happen simultaneously on all platforms 23rd September, along with which the PC-version of the project will leave Steam in the Epic Games Store

Current Steam users will be able to continue playing and receive all future updates, but the game will no longer be available to new users on the Valve platform. At the same time, if you download Rocket League in the Epic Games Store within the first month, you will receive a 650 rubles gift voucher from the store for purchases over 899 rubles.

The F2P version of Rocket League will preserve crossplay, including between Steam and EGS, and on September 16, a cross-platform progression will be brought into the game with a new update… To do this, simply log into your Epic Games account on the account linking page that appears tomorrow and add the platforms you want. It is also noted that all players who purchased the paid version will receive Legacy status and a number of bonus in-game items with this update.

After switching to F2P, the game will no longer oblige to issue PS Plus and Nintendo Switch Online, although on Xbox One you will also need Xbox Live Gold
