Hypixel Studios was founded in 2018 with the support of several investors, including Riot Games. Now the studio has a team of more than 40 developers who have consulted with Riot Games for the past year and a half.
After the purchase, Hypixel Studios will retain its current structure and open an office in the city of Londonderry, Northern Ireland, which is intended for the operations department and testers. In these areas, the studio intends to hire 20 new employees. Further expansion is also expected as Hytale develops.
The release of Hytale is scheduled for 2023. Hypixel Studios has already received more than 2.5 million applications for participation in the beta, and the announcing trailer for the game, which was released in December 2018, has collected almost 56 million views.
