Rift Apart prepared for dozens of settings – full list – review addiction

Insomniac published a full list of options for configuring Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – as the developers promised on State of Play, there are a lot of them. Without further ado, let’s get down to business.

Difficulty levels

  • Recruit – ideal for beginners
  • Rebel – more balanced difficulty
  • Resistance leader – for those looking for serious challenges
  • Resistance Legend – for those who are looking for the most serious enemies.

Gameplay

Shooting mode:

  • standard – the shooting mode depends on the weapon
  • retention – almost all barrels shoot when buttons are pressed *
  • switch – when turned on, the weapon shoots until the toggle switch is turned off *

* (except for grenades and slow guns)

Configuring a number of functions that are activated when pressed or held:

  • aiming mode
  • hand-to-hand combat
  • weapon selection wheel

Aiming assistance:

  • standard – slows down the speed of the camera when the enemy hits the sight
  • increased – increases help
  • automatic – when aiming, the sight is aimed at the enemy
  • capture – the camera itself is “fixed” to the enemy when aiming.

Peace

World travel options that can be turned on or off:

  • protection against falls into the abyss outside the camera
  • automatic gliding in the air
  • automatic achievement of maximum speed on hyperboots
  • equalization during air segments.

Configuring a number of functions that are activated when pressed or held:

  • switching to hyperboots or sprinting
  • switching on SWING
  • switching to Speetle Boost.

Visual

  • enable HDR
  • brightness control
  • contrast adjustment
  • contrast adjustment – enable different shaders and increased contrast.

In addition, the developers added six parameters for people with disabilities: a high-contrast background, unique one-color shaders for the protagonist, enemies, interactive objects, hazards (explosive barrels and other things that can cause damage) and collectibles.

Special effects

In this menu, you can adjust motion blur for the camera and fast objects, and also enable or disable:

  • depth of field
  • chromic aberration
  • grain
  • camera shake
  • full screen effects – glare, thermal flicker, gas or rain drops on the screen.

In addition, players can customize the elements and colors of the interface, completely change the controls and make shortcuts to the crossbar – for example, reducing the game speed by 50%, turning on the weapon menu, photo mode, three hits of melee and the like.

In addition, adaptive triggers and vibration intensity can be configured.

In the sound settings, you can adjust:

  • general sound of the game
  • music volume
  • volume of conversations
  • effect volume
  • the volume of inventory items.

In addition, there are a couple of audio modes:

  • Balance – the balance between the right and left channels
  • Midnight – Reduces the range between soft and loud sounds.

Eventually, you can turn audio playback on or off through DualSense, and adjust the volume level.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is coming to PS5 only on June 11. Journalists call the project the first real “nextgen” – whether this is so, we will find out in a few weeks.
