From September 25 to October 31, Shanghai hosts 2020 World Championship by League of Legends. The championship will be attended by 22 teams from all over the world – the best representatives of regional leagues. This is the first LAN tournament to be held amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Tournament schedule:
- September 25-30 – Play-In stage… The best team from each group will advance to the main stage. Two more slots in the play-offs will be played by the teams that will take 2-4 places.
- From 3 to 31 October – the main stage (group stage + playoff bracket). The two best teams from each group will compete in single-elimination.
Tournament broadcasts:
- Russian-language broadcast;
- English-language broadcast.
