Operations Director and General Manager Respawn entertainment Dusty Welch in an interview with magazine Game informer stated that the cross-play between the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One is “important” to the battle royale games, including Apex legends.
Crossplay has become something like what is expected by default and what is important for games like ours.
We are obviously big fans of playing Apex Legends at work or in our free time. We come home on Friday or at the weekend and want to play with each other, but we are on different platforms.
Speaking from a personal point of view, we would like to introduce crossplay and play together on the weekend.

Unfortunately, the developers could not even give an approximate date for the appearance of crossplay in Apex Legends, although there has been talk about it since the game was released in February last year.
At the same time, the developers said that due to the foundation laid a couple of years ago, players will not be able to transfer their progress to another platform.
