Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs

Impossible rulers
In this title we will take control of Kay Loren, who one day will find himself to be a legitimate heir to a castle and a kingdom now in abandonment and ruin; he will also discover that he is indebted to his neck, because of the excessive cash spells made by his predecessors.
Helped by his two sisters, his faithful friend and guardian of the body Griffith and the ghost of the first Loren ever, he will be able to bring the kingdom back to the splendor of a time, at the same time paying back the huge accumulated debt.
The plot plays a central role in the advancement of the chapters and for justifying different levels of play, and though deliberately light, it is still appreciated thanks to a good dose of humor and a convincing dubbing in English.

The tasks of the sovereign
To be able to advance in the game, you must complete a certain number of “kingdom quests” every two months in-game. These goals belong to several categories: successful exploration of a dungeon, building or improving certain buildings, or even becoming more friend of different party members. Completing more than those established will give us an advantage over the next two months: in practice, no time is good to rest!
In addition to the more managerial management of the kingdom, gameplay also differs, as mentioned above, in the exploration of the dungeons, where there are two possible phases: classic battles to win and “text adventures”, where we will tackle an interactive adventure in which our choices will condition the outcome of the same; we could receive useful items, experience or even improve (and make worse) the relationship with our adventure companions.
It should also be mentioned that the entire game was not translated into Italian, so if you do not understand English well enough you will be very tired to fully appreciate this title, especially during these phases.

Brute force is not all
The battles are far more complex than in appearance, to the point that if you do not pay particular attention you might find yourself out with broken bones even in the game tutorial. We will be able to deploy in the special chessboard spaces up to 4 characters of our team (we can carry it up to a maximum of 6, including Kay is always compulsory), with heroes and enemies moving in a predetermined order and dictated by ‘
Initial Indicator: The higher the number, the faster the character will move. Each of the protagonists has a gameplay style that will distinguish it and that you will need to learn to master them so that they do not get out of the way. For example, Kay has a mostly supportive ability to enhance members close to him, while Griffith can attract enemies to their own direction and inflict serious damage.
To attack, you will have to choose whether to use your personal skill (always free) or use one of the most powerful skills that often need time to recharge. Another feature of the game is the presence of authority points that can be accumulated and usable to move a person’s turn twice in a turn (to inflict two consecutive attacks, for example) or keep them in order to use the most powerful personal skill (from variable effects, depending on the game style of the chosen character).
It is also necessary to carefully choose which moves to perform, as there is no wound-able character: the choice chosen by the developers in favor of the shield points, obtainable through equipable, consumable objects, and also through certain character skills with support tasks .
