Company Microsoft and studio 343 industries reported the release of a computer version Halo 2: Anniversary. The shooter is already available for purchase on Steam for 259 rubles and is part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, sold there for 725 rubles. Halo 2: Anniversary is a remaster of the original Halo 2, originally released on the Xbox One as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection in 2014. Like Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, the game offers an updated campaign and multiplayer in 4K / 60 FPS, including 7 recycled and 25 classic cards from the original shooter with a completely updated progression system. For fans of nostalgia, there is also the option of instantly switching between old and new graphics.

Compared to the Xbox One release, the computer version of Halo 2: Anniversary also received several updates and additions, including:
- New character customization editor;
- MCC seasonal progression system with new challenges in the campaign;
- Keyboard and mouse input support;
- Customizable keyboard shortcut;
- Support for variable frame rate (VFR);
- Adjustable field of view;
- Support for super wide resolution;
- Text chat.
Along with the release of Halo 2: Anniversary on PC, developers released a fresh update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, including some additional fixes and features:
- Theater mode is now available in PC versions of Halo: Reach and Halo 2: Anniversary;
- Added weekly challenges for the campaign in all MCC games on PC and Xbox One;
- Various bug fixes and bugs identified by the community.
343 Industries is preparing to test now Halo 3, after which by the end of the year on PC also go out Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4.
