Raspberry Pi-based Linux tablet money raised on crowdfunding – review

Last year it became known about Cutiepi – Linux-based tablet Raspberry Pi Compute Model 3 Lite. According to the creators, it is built entirely on open source components and software.

Solution specifications are as follows:

  • Raspberry Pi Compute Model 3 Lite
  • Quad-core processor Broadcom BCM2837 with a frequency of 1.2 GHz
  • 1 GB RAM
  • Touch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a diagonal of 8 inches
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
  • USB-C and USB-A ports, GPIO comb, and a number of sensors
  • Housing with a card reader, speaker and power button, as well as a carrying handle.
  • 4800 mAh battery

As an OS, it is planned to use the Raspbian OS with a special interface, an on-screen keyboard, and so on. At the same time, all the same applications that are in the “desktop” version are supported

More information about the campaign should appear in May. Then they will announce the price and release date, as well as other conditions for participation in collective financing.
