Rambo, Milina, and Raine Fight: Mortal Kombat 11: Kombat Pack 2 Review

It is also worth mentioning the reference to “Bohemian rhapsody“groups Queen… During the execution of the “death blow”, four colored ninja appear on the screen in a pose characteristic of this composition. A very funny little thing that will surely amuse many music lovers.

The strategy and tactics of fighting for Reina may be reminiscent of Fujin, but unlike the gray-haired wind god, the purple ninja seems to be a more straightforward hero. Despite his extensive list of special moves, he has almost no tricks or any kind of layout, so a fast and powerful fighter seems more predictable, which requires increased attention to the actions of the opponent.

Rambo is another guest from the world of cinema of the eighties and nineties. Thanks to the fact that his appearance and voice were taken from Sylvester Stallone himself, the character turned out to be very authentic. The developers tried to make the techniques as similar as possible to those that John used in the films. There is even the same bow with which he shot down a helicopter. If you don’t like the bow, then you can take the machine gun instead. The latter, in comparison with the bow, has a rather long start animation, but at the same time a longer action. It is difficult to jump over it, and when it hits the enemy, even if he blocks the attack, he still leans back. Both weapons allow you to keep your opponent at a distance, but each has its own tactical advantages and disadvantages. In addition, in the arsenal of the brave warrior there are other interesting techniques and gadgets. The hero can use various mines, artillery volleys and all sorts of traps, as well as slowly creep or roll up to his target with an outstretched leg. Rambo’s set of techniques is quite diverse and allows him to be a universal character.

One of his most effective techniques can be called snares – with a successful hit, they suspend the target and allow you to perform a large and powerful combo. The character also has a special movement with which he can replenish his health. It looks very funny, because during the battle Rambo picks up some creeping reptile from the floor and eats it. If you do this several times, then the small parasite will receive a “crushing blow”, and Rambo will restore more lives than usual.

In general, this character has a lot of all kinds of movements and maneuvers that allow you to inflict decent damage on the opponent, but due to the predictability of some especially effective attacks, it is much easier to play against him than against the same Geras or Noob Saibot. Rambo is definitely suitable for novice players, as there are fairly simple combo combinations in his arsenal.

Now let’s move on to the long-awaited Milina. The developers have long been accustomed to rotate the characters from the original trilogy. In each new part, one of the old people is removed and the one who was not in the previous part is returned. Thus, it turns out that the audience has time to miss the character and then happily meet him in a new game. For example, MKX didn’t have Nuba Saibot or Jade, who were brought back in this part. They wanted to do the same with Milina, but the heroine’s fans exerted tremendous pressure on the developers and the “catfish” had to be added now, and not in a conditional MK12

As it should be according to the plot, she is Kitana’s evil twin, therefore she looks like a complete copy of her, with the exception of animal eyes and a monstrous “smile”. By the way, the heroine’s jaws have returned to the version that was presented in Mortal Kombat 2011. She has long fangs sticking outward, much like Baraka’s. Personally, though, I liked the MKX lip look better.

The character of the heroine is still the same nutty, and the techniques are wild and sometimes bestial. This time, the developers gave her sharp steel claws to emphasize the animal aggression. By the way, some of the movements and animations were directly borrowed from Catwoman from Injustice. At the same time, the original techniques, such as somersault, teleport, as well as various types of sai throws at the opponent, have not gone anywhere. In addition, her list of moves still includes many attacks using these Japanese daggers, including grappling.
