Qualcomm introduced a new processor for low-cost gaming smartphones – review

Qualcomm introduced a new model Snapdragon 768G for mid-range gaming smartphones. The new system-on-a-chip is an overclocked version of last year’s Snapdragon 765G, while the performance of the CPU and GPU have improved.

The new model is equipped with a video accelerator Qualcomm Adreno 620. The processor has one powerful core Kryo 475 prime 2.8 GHz, one Kryo 475 (2.2 GHz) and six energy-efficient cores ARM Cortex-A55 (1.8 GHz).

In addition, the novelty is equipped with a modem for fifth-generation networks. It supports millimeter-wave frequencies and a range of less than 6 GHz.
