Company Netflix published the first frames and posters of the upcoming mini-series “Hollywood“from the show runner”American horror story” Ryan Murphy. The plot of the show tells about alternative Hollywood of the 1940s and shows both real-life movie figures of those years, and fictional ones. According to the authors of the series, this is an inspiring story of the what-if format.

Executive Producer, Screenwriter and Director Janet Mock described the basis of the show as follows:
“What will happen if the group of amateurs will be given the opportunity to tell their own story? What will happen if the director becomes a black woman? Will the scriptwriter be a black man? Or will the main character be a colored woman? And will the idol of many be openly gay? What if they are all invited to the room “Where are decisions made, entering which they all wish to leave her without a twinge of conscience? In this case, they will take a place in history?”
In turn, the show’s runner Ryan Murphy said that after working on the mini-series “Feud“he wanted to create a show about an alternative Hollywood universe.
“After the creation of The Feud, I worked on a part about the buried history of Hollywood. At a young age I really liked Rock Hudson, Anna May Wong and Hattie McDaniel. I took this idea with a bit of humor, and then we discussed it over dinner with Darren Chris (“The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story”) as part of the conversation about what we would like to work on further. And we both agreed that we would like to do something inspiring, optimistic, with a happy ending related to success ” said Ryan Murphy.
The main roles in the show Darren Chris, David Corensvet, Samara Weaving, Holland taylor, Patty Lupon and Laura Gerrier and others. Hollywood mini-series consisting of seven episodes will be released on Netflix streaming platform already May 1.
