“Price is in line with publisher policy”: EA commented on the sharp rise in price of F1 2023 on Steam

According to SteamDB, the cost of new items has increased in almost all regions, and in many of them we are talking about a two-fold or even three-fold rise in price. Of the 41 regions, the price has not changed only in the US, where the game is still sold for $ 60. while in Russia, the cost of F1 2023 compared to the previous part increased from 1085 before 2999 rubles, and in Ukraine – with 699 before 1499 hryvnia

Most of the price increases hit Argentina, where F1 2023 sells for 650 Argentine pesos, and F1 2023 will cost $ 3,600 AR, up 454%, as well as Turkey (+ 357%), South Africa (+ 204%). South Asia (+ 200%) and Kazakhstan (+ 182%).

Many players were outraged by the publisher’s decision, since previously Codemasters always offered fair regional prices for their games for poor and developing countries, however, apparently, Electronic Arts is not going to revise the cost of F1 2023.

In a comment for the VG247 portal, a representative of the publisher stated that F1 2023 pricing for each region is fully compliant with Electronic Arts and other major publishers’ policies

F1 2023 release will take place 16th July on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
