Company Ziggurat interactive acquired rights to several gaming licenses previously held by Majesco Entertainment, including Adventure raising, Raze’s hell, Flip’s twisted world and Bloodrayne.
The greatest interest from this list is the BloodRayne series, and Ziggurat has confirmed that it works with developers of original games from the studio. Terminal realityto upgrade them for modern PCs, improve compatibility and tighten quality. Besides, new franchise owner is already exploring the issue of “further expanding the rich BloodRayne universe”. It is possible that after the re-releases of the old parts, we will see full-fledged new games about the vampire Rain.
BloodRayne debuted in 2002 on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. While the first two parts were three-dimensional third-person action games, the latest game in the series is BloodRayne: Betrayal 2011 – was already a two-dimensional sidescroller. The franchise also spawned several comic books and a trilogy of films featuring Kristanna Loken, Michael Madsen, Michelle Rodriguez and Ben Kingsley.
