The official PlayStation website, which monitors the status of network services, greets visitors with an “orange” status.
“There may be slowdowns and delays when loading games,” Sony writes.
The company claims that the problems arose due to the “regulation of download traffic” and believes that “it is very important to maintain the stability of the Internet due to the large number of people who are socially distant at home.”
Sony hopes for community understanding and support and promises to fix the problem as soon as possible.
Earlier it was reported that the platform holder reduced the speed of access to the European PSN to ensure stable operation of the network in the region. The reason was called a sharp increase in the number of users staying at home and observing the regime of self-isolation.
Current issues with the PlayStation Network are global. They are reported by players from around the world. For example, American Reddit users cannot log into their favorite game, but do not despair and continue to wait for a fix.
