On the occasion of the production of a full-length sequel to the series that began in New York “Ray Donovan“starring Liv Schreiber posted on Instagram a joint photo with his longtime co-stars, who got back together 16 months after the show’s eighth season was canceled.
“I will sorely miss each of this cast of actors,” Liv Schreiber wrote on his official Instagram account.
In addition to Liv Schreiber, the photo shows in a friendly atmosphere almost the entire main cast of the project in the person of Carris Dorsey, Dash Mayock, Pooch Hall and Eddie Marsan. In the upcoming film, 82-year-old Jon Voight will return to his role as the father of the main character Mickey Donovan.
As the authors of the show note, the cancellation of the eighth season of “Ray Donovan” came as a complete surprise to them, because of which the creative team was unable to properly complete the series, the plot of which has been watched by millions of viewers for seven years.
Fortunately, Showtime has listened to fan outrage and greenlit the production of a two-hour feature film, written by Liv Schreiber himself and co-written by showrunner David Hollander, who also served as director.
It will be possible to see the final part of the story about the famous “problem solver” in 2023.
