Embracer group, parent company Deep silver, held a conference on activities for the third quarter of the current financial year, during which she spoke about a confident start Metro: Exodus in Steam.
The game was released a year ago, but before the release it was removed from the Valve store in favor of a deal with Epic Games and returned there only on February 15th. According to current data, for the first four days after the resumption of sales, “Exodus” sold on Steam in excess of 200,000 copies.
According to the CEO of the holding Lars Wingefors, Metro: Exodus’ largest market for Steam is “the largest Asian country”. It was probably about China.
Wingefors also touched on another recent release of Deep Silver, Shenmue III. Although he did not specify the numbers, his comment suggests that the game was never positioned as a product of the mass AAA market, counting on a completely different level of sales. Shenmue III was created primarily for fans and found its audience.
