However, you can’t buy a remaster for PS4 in Russia. Company Sony Interactive Entertainment again decided to play it safe and refused to sell the MW2 remaster in the Russian segment Playstation store. Prior to this, the PS4 version fell victim to censorship. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (sample of 2019) and Call of Duty: Warzone.
But the game can be bought in another country, bypassing the restrictions! It is so? Not really. There is no such warning in the remaster – at startup it just pops up a notification that all the characters of the game are fictitious.
The developers acted more radically, completely cutting out the scandalous level. Immediately after level “Rock climber“(Cliffhanger) in Kazakhstan is “Hunting“(Takedown) in Brazil. Between them should be the mission No Russian.
Given this, it can be assumed that the version for the Xbox One and PC will also be censored. Last year’s Modern Warfare has already been edited (translation changed, rescuers helmets repainted in one of the missions).
On console from Microsoftmost likely, the block can be bypassed by changing the region of the store. On the PC, you have to arrange dances with a tambourine around Battle.net.
