The news is not so much informative as funny, since the names of both last year’s games are often confused, and now they have even more in common. It is not yet known what exactly Bichum will be doing at Obsidian – possibly add-ons for The Outer Worlds.
Recall that Outer Wilds is an adventure game whose events unfold in a closed time loop – every 22 minutes the world comes to an end. The player is free to explore the universe, trying to find a clue to events.
The Outer Worlds is Obsidian’s sci-fi role-playing game closest to Fallout, Mass Effect, and Deus Ex. Both projects received high marks and warm reviews from ordinary players.
